Appointments & enquiries
Making contact, booking in, and what happens before your visit.
How do I book an appointment?
Call the salon on +44 20 7732 5946, or send an enquiry through the contact form and we will come back to you to arrange a time. Telephone is quickest if you need an answer the same day.
Do you take walk-ins?
Availability varies from day to day, so it is always worth calling before you travel. Booked appointments are the reliable way to get the time you need — particularly for longer work.
What are your opening hours?

How far in advance should I book?
Longer appointments such as extensions, colour, and keratin or texture release treatments fill up further ahead than shorter ones. Get in touch as early as you can if you are working to a particular date.
Can I change or cancel my appointment?
Yes — call the salon as early as you can. Longer appointments take up a significant part of the day, so as much notice as possible genuinely helps.

Your visit
What to expect in the chair and how to prepare.
Do I need a consultation first?
For a first visit, a significant change or any chemical service, yes. For routine work on hair we already know, usually not. Colour always requires a consultation and a patch test beforehand.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
Come with your hair as it normally is unless we have agreed otherwise — it tells us far more than freshly styled hair. Bring reference photographs if you have a particular look in mind, including any of styles that have not worked for you before.
How long will my appointment take?
It depends entirely on the work. A trim and a full head of extensions are very different commitments — we will give you a realistic estimate when you book so you can plan the day.
What should I tell you about my hair?
Any chemical services, home colour or henna, recent heat damage, scalp sensitivity, medication or health changes affecting your hair, and anything that has gone wrong in the past. It all affects what is safe and sensible to do.
Do you work with children’s hair?
Please call the salon to discuss what your child needs and we will advise on the right appointment.

Hair, care & condition
How we approach your hair, and what we will tell you honestly.
What kind of hair do you work with?
All hair types. Afro hair is our speciality — it is what KOSIT has specialised in since 1989, and it is a distinct discipline: texture, density, porosity and shrinkage all change what a style will do and how it should be approached.
My edges are thinning. Can you still style my hair?
Often yes, with the style adapted to take tension away from the affected areas. Sometimes the honest answer is that your hair needs recovery time before a particular style — we will tell you which applies rather than fitting it anyway.
Can damaged hair be repaired?
Condition, strength and appearance can be improved a great deal. Hair that is structurally damaged cannot be permanently repaired, and at a certain point cutting is the fastest route back to healthy hair. We will say so when that is the case.
Will you tell me if you think a style is a bad idea?
Yes. That is what over thirty-five years of experience is for. We will explain why, suggest what would work better, and leave the decision with you.
Do I have to buy products from you?
No. We will explain what your hair needs and why; what you use at home is your choice. Technique and routine matter more than any particular bottle.

113 Peckham High Street, London SE15 5SE — on Peckham High Street itself, a short walk from Peckham Rye station and well served by local bus routes.
Is there parking nearby?
Peckham High Street is a busy central location with the usual central London restrictions. Public transport is generally the easier option; check current local parking signage and restrictions before you travel.
How do I pay?
Please ask the salon when you book, and we will confirm the payment methods currently accepted.
