Treatments & Scalp Care
Hair grows out of a scalp. When the scalp is neglected, no style on top of it will look right for long.

About treatments & scalp care
Treatment work at KOSIT is about condition: moisture balance, strength, elasticity, and the state of the scalp itself. It is the service we most often recommend before anything else, particularly where hair has been through repeated protective styling, chemical work or heat.
What is right for your hair depends on what is actually wrong with it. Dryness and damage are not the same problem, and hair that is weak from over-conditioning needs the opposite of hair that is brittle from lack of moisture. Getting that diagnosis right is most of the work.
Some conditions belong with a GP or dermatologist rather than a salon. Persistent irritation, flaking, sores or sudden shedding are things we will always advise you to have looked at medically, and we will work around them rather than over them.
What it is for
To restore and maintain the condition of your hair and scalp, so that everything else you have done to it lasts and looks better.
The appointment
How it works, step by step.
Diagnosis
Establishing what is actually happening: dryness, damage, over-processing, protein and moisture balance, or scalp irritation.
Cleansing
Cleansing chosen for your scalp condition and product build-up, not applied by default.
Treatment
The conditioning or strengthening work your hair needs, applied where it is needed.
Guidance
A routine to follow at home, and a realistic view of how long recovery will take.
What you get from it
- Treatment matched to the actual problem rather than a default product
- Better moisture retention and elasticity
- A healthier scalp for styles to sit on
- Honest guidance on what will and will not recover
Good to know
- Condition work is cumulative. One treatment helps; a routine changes things.
- Reduce heat and tension while hair is recovering.
- See a GP or dermatologist about persistent irritation, sores or sudden shedding — those are medical matters, not styling ones.
Questions
Treatments & Scalp Care: your questions
How often should I have a treatment?
It depends on your hair’s condition and what else is being done to it. We will recommend a realistic interval rather than a standing appointment you do not need.
Can you fix damaged hair?
We can improve condition, strength and appearance considerably. Hair that is structurally damaged cannot be repaired permanently — at some point cutting is the honest answer, and we will tell you when that point has come.
My scalp is itchy and flaking. Can you treat it?
We can care for the scalp and avoid making it worse, but persistent irritation should be seen by a GP or dermatologist. We will work alongside medical advice, not instead of it.
