Every appointment at KOSIT starts with understanding your hair — its texture, its density, how it behaves, what has been done to it before, and what you want from it next.
About consultation
A consultation is a conversation and an assessment. Applekosit looks at your hair and scalp, asks about your routine, the products you use and how your hair has responded to previous work, then talks through what is realistic and what will suit the way you actually live.
It matters because Afro hair is not one thing. Curl pattern, porosity, density and past chemical or heat exposure all change what a style will do and how long it will hold. Two people can ask for the same look and need entirely different approaches to get there.
You leave with a clear plan: what we would do, in what order, and what it will take to keep it. If the honest answer is that your hair needs recovery time before a particular service, we will say so.

Good to know
- Bring photographs of styles you like — and of styles you have had before that did not work.
- Come with your hair as it usually is. It tells us more than freshly styled hair does.
- Mention any scalp sensitivity, medication or recent chemical work, however minor it seems.

Do I need a consultation before every appointment?
Not for routine work once we know your hair. A consultation matters most before a significant change, a chemical service, or a first visit to the salon.
Can a consultation and the service happen on the same day?
Often, yes. It depends on what your hair needs and how much time the work takes — call the salon and we will advise when you book.
What if you recommend something different from what I asked for?
We will explain why, and what the alternative would give you. The decision is always yours; our job is to make sure it is an informed one.
